Kentucky AttractionsIf you’ve ever driven south of Louisville on I-65, you’ve probably noticed the giant T-rex that greets travelers just outside Mammoth Cave National Park. Each time you pass this creature and see the signs for Dinosaur World, you think, “I really need to take the family there!” Well, now is the time. Book a camper rental from Greenwood RV Rentals & Sales, and see what Dinosaur World of Kentucky has in store for you.

Things to Do

Nestled on over 20 acres, Dinosaur World brings the past to life. You can see over 150 life-sized dinosaurs up close and personal. Additionally, you can enjoy doing a little excavating of your own as you dig for fossils. Other activities include excavating for gems or watching a movie that helps visitors learn more about the prehistoric creatures.

Admission & Hours

The park is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We recommend getting there early in the day so you can enjoy the theme park at your leisure. Daily admission rates (before tax) are $12.75 for adults, $10.75 for seniors, and $9.75 for kids (ages 3-12); children under age 3 receive free admission. Be sure to also check out the Dinosaur World website for special rates and coupons.

Nearby Camping & Food

Dinosaur World is located just off I-65 in Cave City, KY. The park itself doesn’t have food or lodging, so you’ll need to do some additional planning for your day trip. You can rent a camper and stay at nearby Mammoth Cave National Park. You may even decide to make a weekend out of it and visit the caves or do some hiking. If you’re doing a day trip, then pack a picnic lunch, and plan to eat at the theme park. However, if you’re staying overnight or don’t want to mess with packing, you can also find some restaurants nearby, ranging from Cracker Barrel to McDonalds.
