Kentucky is filled with great camping destinations. The struggle to find one is less about locating a spot and more about choosing from all the great options. In case you need a little help narrowing things down before renting your RV from Greenwood RV Rentals & Sales of Louisville, let us help. Here are some of our Kentucky camping favorites.
Cumberland Falls State Park
Located in Corbin, KY, Cumberland Falls State Park boasts beautiful scenery, great hiking, gem mining, canoeing, and so much more. Their camping facilities feature 50 sites complete with water and electric hookup for your popup camper. Plus, they have on-site shower facilities, restrooms, camp store, and more.
Mammoth Cave National Park
You can’t take great destinations in Kentucky without mentioning Mammoth Cave National Park. Their cave system is truly a magnificent sight to behold—something everyone needs to do at least once in their lifetime. The campground isn’t the most state of the art, but the lack of electricity or water hookup is almost worth it just to be surrounded by such a great stretch of nature. While you may not have hookups for your camper rental, you can get by just fine with the on-site restroom/shower facilities, picnic tables, grills, camp store, and more. Plus, you can fill up your camper’s water tank for those daily activities where running to the restroom is inconvenient.
Dale Hallow Lake State Resort Park
Located in Southern Kentucky, almost in Tennessee, Dale Hallow Lake State Resort Park has something for everyone. Its main attraction is definitely the lake. Visitors love to go fishing, boating, swimming, and water skiing. Other outdoor recreation opportunities on site are hiking, golfing, mini golf, equestrian trails, and more. The campgrounds feature a limited number of campsites, but they’re RV compatible.
